The New Weed Strains Making Waves at Mass Alternative Care

Musty Buffalo

If you know anything about the wild west, you know that it used to have scores of buffalo roaming the hills and plains. Even if you’ve never seen a buffalo up close (they’re much bigger than you think), you can imagine how it looks, feels, and smells. Slight musty with a hint of the wild freedom that only comes from the frontier.

Such is the experience of Musty Buffalo. Created by Mad Mark Farms, this strain has a moderate THC concentration of 23.89 percent, and it’s a certified hybrid. So, it gives you a nice mellow high that won’t necessarily lock you to the couch (unless you smoke a lot of it at once).

This bud is deep purple with glistening trichomes, and it comes in glass to preserve its aroma and dankness. The flower smells so earthy and musty and looks so tasty that you may struggle with breaking it apart to put in a bong or joint. But once you do, it’ll feel like a herd of bison is trampling on your brain (in a good way).

Candy Fumes

While candy doesn’t necessarily do any off-gassing of fumes, if it did, it would probably smell like Candy Fumes (aka Candy Fumez) cannabis. This strain is almost sickeningly sweet, drawing you in with its siren song of delicious flavors and scents galore. Once whiff and you’ll be hooked, provided that you have a sweet tooth.

Candy Fumes is an Indica-dominant strain (although not by much) with a THC concentration of between 27 and 30 percent. Although the scent is strong, this strain almost sneaks up on you with a soft and mellow high that ramps up to make you feel like you’ve downed 10 lbs of candy and are getting a fuzzy yet relaxing sugar crash.

Strawberry Cough

Even seasoned veterans may let out an errant cough when smoking this strain. Although it’s the most mild of the three (sitting pretty with 19 percent THC), it’s also one of the most enjoyable. As a Sativa-dominant strain, Strawberry Cough makes you feel giddy and euphoric while relaxing the mind and boosting your confidence. Plus, the soft aroma of strawberry fields is delicate and formidable on the nose and taste palate.
