Mass Alternative Care (MAC) is always excited to share the latest and great strains with our customers. One of our historic favorites is Dark Desire. Dark Desire is a widely popular hybrid strain that has a sweet and fruity aroma. With hints of grape, earth, and berry, Dark Desire provides a sedating effect while also bringing a euphoric sensation.
The good news is that Dark Desire wasn’t a one-hit wonder for our cannabis dispensary. We are introducing four strains that have the same DNA as Dark Desire, but each with their own unique traits. The next generation strains include Forbidden Spice, Lemon Abyss, Oranguava, and Sweet Tree. Each of these strains has been bred with care, high-testing, high-terp, and specially crafted to help the Dark Desire lineage live on.
Forbidden Spice
Bred by Ziplock Seeds, Forbidden Spice is a sativa hybrid of Dark Desire. Forbidden Spice has a blend of exotic aromas and an earthy spice with a distinct tropical fruit flavor. The buds of the strain are tight, frosty, and bursting with trichomes. Forbidden Spice provides a full-body buzz with euphoric sensations. Consumers report that Forbidden Spice is a must for those who are seeking stress relief and who struggle with issues like chronic pain or depression.
Lemon Abyss
Lemon Abyss is a bold descendant of Dark Desire. Unlike most lemon strains, Lemon Abyss has very intense effects. As an indica strain and a THC level above 25%, Lemon Abyss will produce a couchlock effect. As far as flavor, expect a zesty citrus taste with rich, grassy notes. Lemon Abyss has tight buds and a gorgeous green coloring with orange trichomes. The preferred time to use the strain is at night, right before you’re ready to turn in for the night.
Oranguava
Orangeguava is a sativa-leaning hybrid that is descended from a cross between Cap Junky and KY Jealousy. The strain has a pungent fruit scent and flavor that will remind you of the sweetness of orange and guava fruits. There’s also a skunk and spice overtone that gives you the classic weed experience. Although the strain has a sunny appearance, it has a potency that you may not expect. After use, you’ll feel a huge burst of energy and get an instant mood boost. Orangeguava is a good wake and bake option, especially if you have a busy schedule planned for the day.
Sweet Tree
Sweet Tree is one of the more grounded options that come from Dark Desire. It’s also sativa leaning but provides a very balanced sensation. Similar traits to the other types, the strain blends sweet and spicy flavor profiles. You’ll also notice a distinct floral scent. The strain has characteristics that include dense nugs and a deep green color with splashes of orange. The strain will help spark your creativity and alleviate any body tension you’re feeling. Fans like to use Sweet Tree for chronic pain and depression.
High Testing and High Terp
Every strain we grow, including those from Dark Desire, is cultivated with care. Forbidden Spice, Lemon Abyss, Oranguava, and Sweet Tree each have a high THC potency. All strains go through third-party testing to confirm purity and potency. The strains also come rich in terpenes to make each product very flavorful.

We operate Monday through Saturday from 9 am to 9 pm and on Sunday from 10 am to 9 pm in Chicopee. Our Amherst hours are daily from 10 am to 8 pm. We serve medical and adult-use customers and require a valid ID for all purchases.
