Why Cannabis Oil?
For these potent cannabis products, a cannabis expert extracts the most desirable parts of the plant—like cannabinoids and terpenes—while removing excess plant material. This delivers a highly concentrated form of cannabis that offers you stronger effects with smaller doses. Concentrates come in many forms, including wax, shatter, budder, and oil. They’re most commonly used for vaping or dabbing (a specialized form of vaporization).
Many prefer concentrates because they’re fast acting and clean. Those who require powerful relief may opt for concentrates because they can achieve results consistently, efficiently, and cost-effectively.

Cannabis Oil FAQs
You can get concentrates at Mass Alternative Care. MAC is a locally owned dispensary in Massachusetts where we take a hands-on, craft approach to cannabis. We’re a business that is deeply passionate about the plant, so we focus solely on high-quality flower and small-batch concentrate production. We make our concentrates in-house in small batches to preserve flavor, potency and enjoyment.
MAC Melts concentrate is as flavorful as it is potent—a true expression of the best cannabis has to offer. These high-quality hydrocarbon cannabis concentrates come from the whole buds of the award-winning Well Fed Flower we’ve cultivated in-house. Our MAC Melts are carefully crafted in small batches to preserve the subtle scents and flavors of premium concentrate.
Flavor Flow Labs is a live hash rosin obtained through a solventless extraction process on fresh-frozen buds. This preserves the natural flavors and the potential benefits of the many terpenes and cannabinoids found in the flower.
Where can you find the best rosin in Massachusetts?
Right here at Mass Alternative Care in Chicopee and Amherst. Our solventless products are crafted in collaboration with Flavor Flow Labs, using fresh frozen flower grown at our Chicopee facility. It’s one of the only truly single source, in-house solventless lines in the state. If you’re looking for rich flavor and purity, this is where the gold lives.
What is hash rosin?
Hash rosin is a solventless concentrate created by pressing ice water hash under low heat and high pressure. At MAC, Flavor Flow Labs takes our freshly frozen Chicopee-grown flower and transforms it into terp-heavy, golden rosin. No chemicals-just ice, water, and fire technique. The end result is full-spectrum, dab-ready excellence.
Why is single source hash rosin better?
Single source means full control-from seed to dab. Our flower is grown, frozen, and pressed all in Chicopee, with Flavor Flow Labs handling every step of the rosin process. No outsourcing. No question about quality. Just clean, honest hash from a team that lives and breathes all things hash rosin.
Can I buy hash rosin vapes in Amherst, MA?
Absolutely. Our Amherst dispensary features a full line of Flavor Flow Labs’ 100% live hash rosin vape carts-no fillers, no distillate, no compromise. Expect a smooth pull packed with flavor. It’s what solventless vapes were meant to be.
Can I find MAC hash rosin in Chicopee?
Yes-and it’s right where it’s made. Visit our Chicopee dispensary to see what Flavor Flow Labs has been pressing. It’s the freshest way to grab small-batch, in-house rosin straight from the source, lab to table.
Where does the flower used in MAC rosin come from?
All MAC rosin starts with our own premium flower, cultivated in Chicopee. After harvest, it’s immediately frozen to preserve trichomes, then passed to Flavor Flow Labs for washing, pressing, and curing. We’re proud to keep every step of the solventless process in-house.
What makes cold cured hash rosin special?
Cold curing gives rosin time to settle, emulsify, and develop a smooth, creamy texture-think butter meets jam. Flavor Flow Labs fine-tunes this process to lock in terps and maximize shelf life.
Are MAC’s rosin products solventless?
100%. Everything produced by Flavor Flow Labs is made without solvents-just ice cold water, heat, and pressure. It’s a cleaner, full flavor concentrate experience, and the purity shines through in every puff and dab.
What strains are used in MAC’s rosin products?
We rotate through our most terp-forward cultivars from Chicopee: gassy indicas, fruity sativas, and in-house exclusives. Flavor Flow Labs selects only the best batches for washing and pressing. If you’re a pheno chaser, you’re going to love what drops next.
How is live rosin different from live resin?
Both use fresh frozen flower, but only one skips the solvents. Live rosin is mechanically pressed from ice water hash, while live resin is chemically extracted with butane or propane. Flavor Flow Labs only makes live rosin-it’s the purist’s choice.
Is MAC’s rosin lab licensed and regulated?
Yes, our lab and our partnership with Flavor Flow Labs are fully licensed under Massachusetts regulations. All products are tested for potency and contaminants. You’re getting the real deal compliant, clean, and craft.
Can I use rosin topicals for everyday relief?
For sure. Our topicals combine full-spectrum rosin with botanical ingredients to target muscles and joints. Made in partnership with Flavor Flow Labs, they offer a smooth, solventless way to incorporate cannabinoids into your wellness routine. Available now in Chicopee.
Is MAC rosin good for dabbing?
Absolutely-it’s built for it. Flavor Flow Labs crafts our hash rosin with a consistency perfect for cold-start dabs and low-temp hits. It’s creamy, terp-loaded, and smooth on the exhale. Treat your banger to something better.
How should I store my hash rosin?
Keep it in the fridge in an airtight container. Heat and light degrade terpenes quickly, and you don’t want that. Flavor Flow Labs packages our rosin in glass jars to help preserve freshness, but proper storage is still key.
Is rosin worth the higher price?
No doubt. Making high-quality rosin-especially the way Flavor Flow Labs does-is labor intensive, but the payoff is a cleaner, tastier, more effective product. Once you try it, you’ll understand why people never look back.
What’s the best temperature to dab rosin?
Go low-around 480–520°F is ideal. That’s where Flavor Flow Labs tests their batches for flavor release. Anything hotter and you’ll torch the terps. Let it melt, not fry.
What’s the difference between flower rosin and hash rosin?
Flower rosin is pressed straight from dried or frozen bud, while hash rosin starts with refined ice water hash. Hash rosin, like what Flavor Flow Labs makes, is more potent, more flavorful, and more consistent. It’s the top tier of solventless.
How Strong Are Concentrates?
Concentrates can be as high as 50% to 90% THC. But keep in mind, you’re only using a tiny amount at a time. Dabs are measured in milligrams (typically 10-50), unlike, for example, a small joint, where you might smoke as much as half a gram of flower (500mg) to get similar effects.
How Are Concentrates Made?
We make our concentrates using two primary processes chosen specifically because they can produce a cleaner and more flavorful product. The first is the hydrocarbon extraction process, which utilizes chemical reactions to isolate and concentrate the desired terpenes and cannabinoids. The solvents we’ve chosen are highly volatile, which means they evaporate quickly and completely, leaving only the concentrate behind—no residue. We also use a solventless extraction method. This method uses only heat pressure to extract the desired plant compounds.
How Much Concentrate Should I Take?
Concentrates are often sold in 1-gram or 2-gram quantities in small jars. The recommended starter dose is just a dab, of around 10 to 20 mg, or about the size of a marijuana seed. So, usually, you’ll start with about 10 mg. Note how you feel immediately and over the next 2-10 minutes as it builds. If you don’t feel it, try inhaling a little more after 5 or so minutes. Next time, you can start with 20 mg, 30 mg or more, if you found 10 insufficient.
